Dec 2, 2008, 4:07 GMT
Ramallah - A Palestinian militant critically wounded by Israeli army bullets in the northern West Bank city of Nablus Monday night died of his wounds early Tuesday, according to Palestinian sources and Voice of Israel radio.
Palestinian security sources said an Israeli army unit surrounded a house in Nablus seeking to arrest Muhammad Abu Dra', 27, a member of Fatah's al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades.
However, when Dra' attempted to escape the soldiers opened fire at him, critically wounding him.
Abu Dra', who was on an Israeli list of pardoned Palestinian militants in Nablus, later died of his wounds in an Israeli hospital where he was taken by the army, reported Voice of Israel radio.
