Bomb kills a child, injures six in Iraqi Mosul
Dec 23, 2008, 13:22 GMT
Baghdad - A bomb ripped through an Iraqi police patrol in Mosul on Tuesday killing a child and injuring six civilians, a police source told Deutsche Presse-Agentur, dpa.
Also in Mosul, unidentified gunmen in a car shot and killed a doctor on his way to work before they fled to an unknown destination.
Violence in Iraq has significantly decreased in most of the Iraqi provinces except for Baghdad and Mosul. Pacifying the two provinces remains a challenge for the US and Iraqi forces.
