EU calls crisis meeting on Gaza violence

Brussels/Paris - The French government on Monday called for an emergency meeting of the European Union's foreign ministers to discuss the crisis in the Middle East, French officials confirmed.
France, which holds the EU's rotating presidency until Thursday, has called for a meeting of the top diplomats of the bloc's 27 member states in Paris on Tuesday to 'discuss the EU's contribution to solving the current crisis,' a statement said.
That solution will be 'in liaison with the efforts of the international community, especially those of the secretary general of the United Nations,' the statement said.
French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner, who is to chair the meeting, is in contact with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon.
On Saturday, as Israel launched air-strikes on the Gaza Strip in retaliation for numerous rocket and mortar attacks from the zone, the EU issued a statement calling on both sides to cease their violence. Neither side took heed of the appeal.
Tuesday's crisis meeting is set to be the sixth of France's six-month EU presidency.
The French government also called an emergency meeting of foreign ministers to discuss the August war between Russia and Georgia, an extraordinary summit to deal with the same war and two summits and a meeting of finance ministers to discuss the ongoing financial crisis.
The Czech Republic is set to take over the EU's presidency on Thursday. Tuesday's meeting was coordinated with the Czechs, the French statement said.

Hi all !
IF we read history, and all of us do understand it. Than, we realize that the arabs where using the jews for 1000's of years in chains, and worked them as some poor farm animals and wip them too. They where striped from all their rights, where inhumanly treated, just as those defensless poor animals. This said, wich is absolutely the truth. The arabs DO NOT RECOGNIZE the jewish state
nor its citizens. They are doing everything under this sun to destroy Izrael, and turn its people back to slavery ! This is the intensions. In ancient times, the arabs and also in mediaval times, jews where put to collect taxes for the king ! IF yhey couldn't do the job ? They where decapitated OR one of their children murdered ! Tax collectors are hated even in our times. The criminal fascist of our times, with their dirty primitive propaganda, says following : The jew is a tief, a money grabing devil !
The same as Hitlers dirty propaganda ! If an Italian, Greek, german,arab, or any other nationality is EXTREMLY rich ? Is NOT a problem ! In the moment that a jew is rich ? Heaven forbid, he or she ? Is a tief and cheater, and dirt bag !! As a fact : I do know personaly lots of jewish people, who are a very low income group ! Guess what ? No WELL FAIR, do NOT extend their hands, to nobody ! I am NOT jewish, inspite of everything I heard about jews, in my case ALL 27 jewish friends I HAVE 'non of them' did turn their backs on me EVER, when I did have problems, INVERS goes the same ! Could YOU outhere LEARN from this ?

NEVER listen to the OPINIONS of others BE CONVINS YOUR SELFS about what is truth or fiction OR pure hatred and evil of others ! We learn from each other from AGE 0-120 ! Be decent to another ! This way, we have a better world ! DO NOT RESPCT only humans, be decent to the animal world too ! If you see a sickly animala of anykind, call 911 and give them help that way IF you can't give them a proper care. OR in case of ABUSE 911 will take care of that too ! But please DO NOT allow animals to suffer from a heartless owner ! This are cruel 2 legged demons, who could harm YOU or your children ! Good luck and have a great 2009 !!
