Jan 13, 2009, 14:05 GMT
Riyadh - Egyptian President Hosny Mubarak arrived to Riyadh Tuesday in a one-day visit to discuss means to halt attacks on Gaza with Saudi officials, media reports said.
Mubarak will meet with Saudi King Abdullah during the previously- unannounced visit, Middle East News Agency reported.
The talks will also include means to develop bilateral relations between the two countries.
Mubarak's visit was expected to last a few hours, local reports said, and comes amid his efforts to try to broker a new ceasefire agreement between Israel and the radical Hamas group in the Gaza Strip. A Hamas delegation is currently in Cairo and held talks with Egyptian intelligence chief Omar Suleiman Tuesday morning.
