Israeli accused of spying for Iran
Jan 15, 2009, 14:02 GMT
Tel Aviv - An Israeli resident of Argentina has been charged with attempting to spy on the Jewish State on behalf of Iran, local media reported Thursday.
The man allegedly went to the Iranian embassy in Buenos Aires, and offered to collect information on Israel in return for money. It was unclear if anything he offered was used by Tehran or whether he had access to any sensitive information.
The man was arrested three weeks ago, but the information was held until Thursday.
Last year, another Israeli was arrested under similar charges.
