Why are they willing to accept a truce? For the sake of peace or because they're hurting and need to regroup so they can attack again?
Answer: They're requesting a limited ONE year truce. So figure it out for yourself. Unfortunately, Muslim radicals (terrorists) play the West for suckers. And the West, esp. Europe, go along with it.
They want everyone to accept a double standard for themselves. On the one hand, they want the civil protections that are granted by a democracy. On the other, they spread their intolerance and violence to all corners of the Earth until the Jihad is complete. Oh, sorry, Jihad is just a personal improvement program. My mistake.
