Mosul, Iraq- Four policemen were killed and three injured when their patrol was targeted by a bomb Friday night in the al-Sussi neighbourhood of eastern Mosul, a security source told the German Presss Agency dpa on Saturday.
In a separate incident, also Friday night, unknown attackers shot dead a policeman and injured another one in Mosul's al-Haramat neighbourhood before escaping, the source added.
Mosul is about 400 kilometres north of Baghdad.
Mosul has been the site of near-daily deadly attacks in recent months, despite successive security pushes that police say have netted hundreds of suspected militants.
