One child killed, eight wounded in Iraq rocket attacks

Baghdad - One child was killed and eight other people were wounded when a house and a police station were hit by rocket fire in the western Iraqi city of al-Ramadi, a police source said.
The source told the German Press Agency dpa that the attackers, believed to be al-Qaeda members, fired two rockets in the attack in al-Ramadi, some 100 kilometres west of the capital Baghdad.
The first rocket struck a house, killing the child dead and wounding six members of the family.
The second rocket destroyed the police station, wounding a high- ranking police officer and another policeman.
