Iranian protesters issue own newspaper (Extra)
Jun 20, 2009, 13:04 GMT
Tehran - Iranian protesters issued their own newspaper named 'Street' and distributed it on Saturday through the internet to mainly Iranian users.
The move to launch a paper by normal protesters on the streets comes in the face of the ban imposed by the authorities on both local and international media against any direct coverage of the protest demonstrations on the streets.
Also, the website of opposition leader Mir-Hossein Moussavi said that as the opposition had no national press coverage in Iran, everyone should help spread Moussavi's message and realize the aim of 'One Person = One Broadcaster.'
