20 convicted drug traffickers hanged in Iran

Tehran - Twenty convicted drug traffickers were hanged on Saturday in a prison in Karaj, a suburb west of Tehran, Fars news agency reported.
Fars said that 700 kilos of drugs were confiscated from the 20, who had been arrested within the time period of 2004 to 2008.
Murder, rape, armed robbery and drug trafficking of quantities in excess of 5 kilograms are among the crimes punishable by death in Iran.
