Iran warns Israel of missile capability
Jul 25, 2009, 11:05 GMT
Tehran - The commander of Iran's revolutionary guards said Saturday that Israel should be aware of the range of Iranian missiles before contemplating a strike, Fars news agency reported.
'In case of a military attack against Iran, Israel should remember the range of our missiles and that the whole of Israel was within striking distance,' General Mohammad-Ali Jafari was quoted by Fars as saying.
Iran's medium-range missiles have a range over 2,000 kilometres and are therefore capable of hitting any part of the Jewish state.
Asked by reporters whether Iran could also hit Israel's nuclear plants, the general did not give a clear answer, saying only that Iran's reply to any aggression would be 'decisive and hard.'
Israel is the arch-foe of Iran and Tehran has not acknowledged the sovereignty of Israel since the 1979 Islamic revolution. Tehran also supports anti-Israeli militia groups such as the Palestinian Hamas and Hezbollah in Lebanon.

If you were a sovereign state (who had not attacked anyone in over one
hundred years or more), and some 'johnny-come-lately' country less than one tenth of your size and only 60 years old continually threatened to attack you because they insisted that you must not have a nuclear facility that they (secretly) have – what would YOU do?
An unambiguous question that begs a direct answer.
