Six convicts hanged in Iran

Tehran - Six convicts, including two women, were hanged last week in south-western Iran, the Kayhan newspaper reported Tuesday.
The six - five of them drug-traffickers, including the two women, the other one a murderer - were hanged between October 6 and 8 in Ahvaz, the report said.
Murder, rape, armed robbery and drug trafficking of quantities in excess of 5 kilograms are among the crimes punishable by death in Iran.
