Dec 22, 2009, 15:04 GMT
Baghdad - One civilian was killed and four others were injured on Tuesday in a bomb attack on a minibus in the central Iraqi town of Iskandariyah, 60 kilometres south of Baghdad, police said.
The area has been the site of sporadic violence. Five people were killed and 35 injured early last month when a bomb exploded in a market in the nearby city of Hilla.
In other news, police in the northern city of Tikrit on Tuesday said they had detained four men carrying Iranian passports without entry visas to Iraq.
Police said they were investigating who the men were and how they came to be in Iraq.
