No new offer on Iran nuclear program, France says (Extra)
Feb 15, 2010, 12:08 GMT
Paris - There has been no new offer to Iran by the international community regarding its nuclear program, the spokesman for the French foreign ministry said Monday.
The statement by Bernard Valero contradicted a declaration by Iran's atomic chief Ali-Akbar Salehi, who earlier Monday told the Iranian labour news agency ILNA that the United States, Russia and France have made a new proposal that Iran was evaluating.
'Mr Salehi must know that the only proposal is that presented by the IAEA (the International Atomic Energy Agency) in October and to which there has been no satisfactory answer yet,' Valero said during an electronic press conference.
