Tehran - Iran harshly condemned Saturday's car bomb blast in the Iraqi city the city of Najaf in which, according to Tehran, one Iranian woman was killed, the ISNA news agency reported
Iraqi police announced that a total of seven pilgrims were killed and at least 50 injured after a car bomb blast on Saturday morning in Najaf, 180 kilometers south of Baghdad,
'This was a criminal and inhuman act in which one Iranian woman pilgrim was killed and another one is in critical condition,' Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said.
He said the Iranian pilgrims had entered Iraq without coordination from Iran's pilgrimage organization. Mehmanparast once again called on all Iranian pilgrims to get prior permission from the relevant organizations.
Iran's ambassador to Baghdad, Hassan Kazemi-Ghomi, confirmed the death of the Iranian woman and told ISNA that 37 Iranian pilgrims were injured in the bombing and transferred to two hospitals in Najaf,
