EU official discusses Mideast peace process in Lebanon

Beirut - EU Special Representative for the Middle East peace process Marc Otte held talks in Beirut Monday focussing on the Middle East Peace process.
During his talks with Lebanese officials, Otte stressed the importance of relaunching the peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians, noting its importance to 'Lebanon, its stability and citizens' security as well as regional stability.'
Otte said he came to Lebanon to explore the concerns of the Lebanese 'friends,' adding that talks also tackled the developments in Lebanon and bilateral ties.
The EU official met with Lebanese president Michel Suleiman and Pemier Saad Hariri.
