Palestinian President Abbas in hospital after bathroom fall

Ramallah - Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas slipped and fell in his bedroom and suffered minor bruises on Friday according to his spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh.
He said in a brief statement that Abbas, 75, was transferred to a hospital in Jordan where he was undergoing treatment.
'President Mahmoud Abbas slipped in his bedroom causing some bruises,' said Abu Rudeineh. 'He needs physical therapy and rest for few days,' he added.
'We are following up his treatment. He is in good health and there is no need for worry,' said Abu Rudeineh.
