Saudi Airlines plane makes unscheduled
Apr 8, 2010, 13:22 GMT
Riyadh - A Saudi Arabian Airlines plane carrying 170 passengers made an unscheduled landing in the northern Saudi city of Tibuk shortly after take-off on Thursday, media reports said.
The Riyadh-bound flight returned to its point of origin shortly after take-off. The passengers, reportedly all Iraqis, had to wait for another aircraft to take them to their destination.
The reason for the unexpected landing was not known, but a manager at Tibuk airport said a press statement would follow 'soon'.
