Sudanese migrant shot and killed crossing from Egypt to Israel
May 16, 2010, 11:27 GMT
Cairo - Egyptian security forces shot and killed a Sudanese migrant trying to cross from the north of the Sinai peninsula into Israel, police sources said on Sunday.
Adam Ali Mohamed, 38, was hit three times after reportedly ignoring a call not to cross the border on Saturday night.
The United Nations has criticized Egypt's use of lethal force along its border with Israel. More than 60 people have been killed by security forces at the border in the last two-and-a-half years.
