Jul 30, 2010, 10:11 GMT
Cairo - Saudi Arabia will announce within days the preliminary results of the investigation into the crash this week of a Lufthansa cargo plane, a pan-Arab newspaper said Friday.
The first results will be announced 'on Saturday or Sunday at the latest,' said Khaled al-Khaibari, the spokesman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, to the Saudi-owned Asharq al-Awsat daily.
In accident on Tuesday, the aircraft crashed in Riyadh as it was attempting to land, causing minor injuries to the two pilots on board and extensive damage to the cargo.
