Palestinian killed, two injured in Gaza car bombing
Nov 17, 2010, 16:00 GMT
Gaza - A Palestinian was killed and two injured on Wednesday when an explosion hit their car in central Gaza City, witnesses and paramedics said.
Witnesses speculated that Israeli warplanes may have targeted the car with a missile. An Israeli military spokeswoman in Tel Aviv had no comment.
The car had been full of arms and explosives, the witnesses said.
Gaza's Hamas-run Interior Ministry said in a statement sent to reporters that an Israeli warplane had struck the car, and identified its occupants as members of the Army of Islam, a radical Islamic group.
A member of the same group was killed in western Gaza City two weeks ago when his car was hit by an Israeli air-to-ground missile.
