Israeli planes stage mock raids over south Lebanon
Jan 12, 2011, 12:00 GMT
Beirut - Israeli fighter jets Wednesday carried out mock raids at low altitude over several southern Lebanese villages, a Lebanese security source said.
The jets flew over Nabatiyeh, Iqlim al Tuffah, Marjayoun, and Khiam, which are all located near the Israeli-Lebanese border, the source said.
The UN considers Israeli violations of Lebanese airspace as breaches of UN Security Council Resolution 1701, which brought an end to the Israeli offensive against Lebanon in 2006.
