Saudi woman jailed for 15 years over al-Qaeda links
Oct 29, 2011, 17:44 GMT
Riyadh - A court in Riyadh on Saturday sentenced a woman to 15 years in prison on charges of having links with al-Qaeda and supporting terrorism.
The Saudi national has one month to appeal the ruling, a source said. Neither her name nor age was given.
She also faced charges of sheltering wanted persons, financing terrorist acts and possessing weapons.
In March 2010, Saudi Arabia, the world's biggest oil exporter, arrested an estimated 113 militants, including the woman, suspected of having links to al-Qaeda and planning attacks on oil facilities.
