Iran's leader warns Israel against military threats
Nov 10, 2011, 12:19 GMT
Tehran - Iran's supreme leader on Thursday warned Israel against any military attacks or even threats against the Islamic state, state media reported.
'Iran would decisively respond to any military attack or even threats and will destroy the aggressor from within,' Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said in a speech on state television.
'This warning goes to all of Iran's enemies, especially to the United States and the Zionist regime (Israel),' the ayatollah added.
Khamenei was referring to threats by Israel to attack Iran's nuclear sites after the International Atomic Energy Organization in its latest report accused Iran of using its nuclear technology to make nuclear warheads.
The Iranian leader, who has the final say on all state affairs, said Iran would not sit still and just watch while it is threatened with military actions, but would react decisively.
Iran says its Shahab-3 missiles with a range of 2000 kilometres could reach any part of Israeli territory.
