Police arrest five brothers over serial murders in Lebanon
Nov 16, 2011, 10:49 GMT
Beirut - Police in Lebanon said Wednesday they had arrested five brothers in connection with a string of murders involving at least 10 victims, many of them taxi drivers.
'Two of the brothers have so far confessed that they have committed the crimes, but interrogations are ongoing with the other three to find out what was their role in the murders,' the police said.
The suspects' victims were believed to be mainly taxi drivers who were either stabbed or shot in the head.
Undercover Internal Security Forces members identified the suspects by posing as taxi drivers and patrolling the Mount Lebanon area where many of the murders took place.
