Survey finds Israelis divided on preemptive Iran attack

Tel Aviv/Washington - Some 90 per cent of Jewish Israelis believe Iran is developing nuclear weapons, according to a survey by the Saban Center for Middle East Policy, which also found that they remain divided on whether Israel should strike Iran.
Some 43 per cent of respondents said they support an Israeli military strike on Iran's nuclear sites while 41 per cent opposed it. Some 65 per cent said they preferred a nuclear-free Middle East where neither Israel nor Iran would have nuclear weapons.
