Rocket fired toward Israel falls inside Lebanon
Dec 11, 2011, 22:40 GMT
Beirut - Unidentified militants fired a rocket late Sunday from southern Lebanon toward Israeli settlements, but the weapon fell inside Lebanon and wounded a woman, a Lebanese security source said.
Fired from Wadi al-Kassiyeh in southern Lebanon, the rocket fell by mistake on the nearby village of Houla, wounding a Lebanese woman, the source said. According to the source the rocket was intended to hit northern Israeli settlements.
On November 28, four rockets were fired from southern Lebanon into the northern Israeli settlements, causing only property damage. An al-Qaeda-linked group calling itself the Sheikh Abdullah Azzam Brigade claimed responsibility for the earlier attack.
