Iran says nuclear talks to resume soon, IAEA inspectors to visit
Jan 3, 2012, 7:46 GMT
Tehran - Iran on Tuesday said talks about its contested nuclear programmes with world powers would be resumed soon.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast also said that inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) were expected to visit Iran this month.
'We are just waiting for the date and venue to be clarified by (European Union foreign policy chief Catherine) Ashton,' he told reporters in Tehran.
'After that (Iran's chief nuclear negotiator Saedi) Jalili and his team would clarify Iran's position,' Mehmanparast said, without elaborating.
