Obama: "No options off the table" on Iran
Jan 25, 2012, 3:13 GMT
Washington - US President Barack Obama said he would 'take no options off the table' to keep Iran from developing a nuclear weapon.
Obama pointed Tuesday night to a united international front against Iran's nuclear programme and said a peaceful solution was possible if Tehran changes course.
'The regime is more isolated than ever before,' he said during his annual State of the Union address to Congress. 'Its leaders are faced with crippling sanctions, and as long as they shirk their responsibilities, this pressure will not relent.'
'Let there be no doubt: America is determined to prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon, and I will take no options off the table to achieve that goal,' Obama said.
