Spat between Islamists and anti-military protesters in Cairo
Jan 25, 2012, 11:06 GMT
Cairo- A spat Wednesday erupted between some members of the Muslim Brotherhood and anti-military protesters in central Cairo's Tahrir Square over how to mark the first anniversary of the uprising that deposed former president Hosny Mubarak.
The altercation started when the Islamist group suggested the occasion be a celebration.
Opponents of the military junta refused the suggestion and insisted that the demands of the anti-Mubarak revolt have not been completely fulfilled.
Other demonstrators stepped in before the dispute could further develop.
