Britain urges UN to unite behind new Syria resolution

London - British Prime Minister David Cameron Tuesday urged the UN Security Council in New York to unite behind a new resolution on Syria so as 'not to shield those with blood on their hands.'
Cameron's remarks in parliament in London came ahead of a crucial Security Council meeting, where it is feared that Russia and other countries could block the Western-backed resolution.
'It is time for all members of the UN Security Council to live up to their responsibilities instead of shielding those who have blood on their hands,' said Cameron.
