Feb 3, 2012, 8:49 GMT
Tel Aviv - The Israeli military said Friday that its aircraft had bombed six targets in the Gaza Strip overnight, in response to rocket fire targeting the south of the country.
There were no reports of Palestinian fatalities.
The military's statement described the targets as two weapons storage facilities in the northern Gaza Strip, three tunnels in the southern Strip, and 'a weapons manufacturing facility' in the centre of the enclave.
Militants in the Gaza Strip had fired more than 620 rockets at Israel during 2011, the statement added.
