Beirut - The death toll in Homs province climbed to 27 on Monday as Syrian troops shelled makeshift clinics in the area of Baba Amr, opposition activists told dpa.
'At least 20 mortar shells fell on three makeshift clinics, which the rebels have set up in some houses to treat the wounded,' activist Omar Homsi said.
'This is a real war which we are facing,' said Homsi, who lives in the area.
