Gulf countries to expel Syrian ambassadors

Beirut - The six-nation Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) decided Tuesday to expel Syrian ambassadors from their countries in protest at the continued government crackdown on pro-democracy activists, Doha-based broadcaster Al Jazeera reported.
They also recalled their envoys from Syria.
The GCC comprises Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and Oman.
