Shoah director Claude Lanzmann detained at Israeli airport

Tel Aviv - French filmmaker Calude Lanzmann, director of the landmark Holocaust documentary Shoah, was detained for questioning at Israel's Ben Gurion airport after a complaint was filed against him for sexual harassment, Israeli police confirmed Wednesday.
The complaint was filed Tuesday night by an a female airport official, after the alleged incident took place. Media reports said Lanzmann attempted to hug and kiss an an airport security official.
After brief questioning, the filmmaker was allowed to board his flight to Paris, police said.
Lanzmann is best known for Shoah, a nine-and-a-half hour documentary released in 1985, dealing with Nazi Germany's genocide of the Jews of Europe in World War II.
The film does not use any documentary footage, but consists primarily of interviews and visits to key Holocaust sites.
