Feb 10, 2012, 8:12 GMT
Beirut - A massive explosion rocked the Syrian city of Aleppo on Friday, said opposition activists based in Lebanon who feared several casualties.
The attack targeted the military police headquarters in the city, they said.
There was no immediate official reaction.
The opposition has, meanwhile, called for demonstrations across the country to denounce Russia's recent veto of a United Nations Security Council resolution aimed at ending the violence in Syria.
