Australian journalist, US student detained in Egypt

Cairo - An Australian journalist and a US student have been detained in Egypt after being accused of paying people to take part in a strike by opposition groups, security sources said Saturday.
Security forces also detained their Egyptian translator, who had accompanied them on their visit to al-Mahalla al-Kubra city, north of Cairo.
