Arab draft resolution calls for peacekeepers to Syria

Cairo - Arab foreign ministers were on Sunday studying a draft resolution on Syria that calls for the deployment of peacekeepers by the United Nations Security Council.
The draft being circulated at the Arab League meeting in Cairo, states: 'Ending the Arab League observer mission, formed after the protocol signed with the Syrian government, and calling on the Security Council to issue a decision to form joint UN-Arab peacekeeping forces to observe and verify the ceasefire.'
