Israeli diplomat hurt in car explosion in New Delhi

New Delhi - An Israeli diplomat was injured Monday after an explosion hit his car in the Indian capital New Delhi, according to reports.
Israel embassy spokesman David Goldfarb said the explosion took place near the embassy compound, in a central area of the city.
'We are not clear about the nature of the explosion. We are in contact with the local police, who are investigating the matter,' he said.
The diplomat was admitted to hospital, local television news channels reported.
Delhi police have not ruled a terrorist attack.
