Feb 16, 2012, 16:29 GMT
Vienna - United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on Thursday accused the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad of possible crimes against humanity with its deadly crackdown on an 11-month uprising.
'We see neighbourhoods shelled indiscriminately, hospitals used as torture centres, children as young as 10 years old jailed and abused,' Ban told reporters in Vienna. 'We see almost a certain crime against humanity.'
