Report: Election commission office attacked in southern Yemen

Cairo - Unknown gunmen on Saturday attacked an election commission office in southern Yemen, in the latest such attack to target the body preparing for an early presidential vote, a local website reported.
The assailants exchanged fire with security guards at the building in Lahj province, according to witnesses quoted by Lahj News.
There were no immediate reports of casualties.
Two civilians were killed on February 9 when insurgents, believed to be affiliated to a separatist movement, attacked an election office in the southern province of Al-Dhali.
The presidential election, set to take place on Tuesday, is the centrepiece of a United Nations-sponsored deal signed in November by the outgoing president, Ali Abdullah Saleh, and the opposition for a peaceful transfer of power.
Vice President Abd Rabbu Mansur Hadi is the only candidate in the polls, which separatists in southern Yemen have vowed to boycott.
