Israeli soldiers kill infiltrator on border with Egypt

Tel Aviv - The Israeli military on Tuesday said soldiers patrolling the border with Egypt killed a man in an overnight shootout.
The man was among a group of people who were caught trying to enter Israel illegally, the military said in a statement. The group opened fire on the soldiers when they were confronted, according to the statement.
