Pakistan test-fires ballistic missile
Nov 16, 2006, 7:46 GMT
Islamabad - Pakistan's strategic forces on Thursday successfully test-fired a Hatf 5 Ghauri medium-range ballistic missile, the military said.
The exercise 'rendered the country's nuclear deterrent complete and fully operational for the next seven years,' said Prime Minister Shakat Aziz, who attended the launch.
India and other neighbouring countries were earlier informed of the test.
The Hatf 5 has a range of 1,300 kilometres.
