Coalition forces kill three rebels in Afghanistan
May 25, 2007, 11:07 GMT
Kabul - US-led coalition forces in Afghanistan reported Friday killing three rebels in the southern province of Helmand.
In a further development, a suspected Taliban fighter was captured by the Afghan army in the Nahr Surkh district and was being interrogated, the coalition forces said.
The military said that there were no civilian or army casualties in the operations, a comment coming amid recent mass protests over civilian casualties resulting from foreign forces' operations.
