The Stupid Legacy of non Muslim linger onMay 29th, 2007 - 09:40:28

This is one of those legacies that the country has been fighting. It is not only unIslamic, rather carries a maximum punishment of death for the culprits..the ones who made that decision. Genuine Jirgas do not ever punish any person like that.

LIKE TORAH, TOOTH FOR TOOTH... BUT NOT ANOTHER INNOCENT PERSON'S TOOTH.

Many people claim such barbarism is not Islamic but rather cultural or tribal. However, one repeatedly hears of such cruel incidents occurring regularly across the Muslim world. I am afraid that such precedents as stoning or whipping, etc in Islamic law has allowed incidents such as this to occur in the name of Islam and is perpetrated by people who call themselves devout Muslims.
