Jun 1, 2007, 8:15 GMT
Islamabad - A Pakistani man who was severely wounded in a bomb explosion Friday morning has accused his ex-girlfriend of the attack, an official said.
Mohammed Rashid was on his way to his office in the city of Bannu in North-West Frontier Province when the bomb exploded in his car.
'The victim told us that he suspected his ex-girlfriend of being involved in the bomb attack,' city police chief Mazhar-ul-Haq Kakakhel told Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa.
She had repeatedly threatened to kill Rashid to seek revenge for his refusal to marry her after several years' relationship, Kakakhel said.
Rashid, a manager for the state-owned Agriculture Development Bank of Pakistan, is in stable condition in the hospital.
