Dec 27, 2007, 14:29 GMT
Washington - The US State Department condemned Thursday's attack that killed Pakistani opposition leader Benazir Bhutto, blaming foes of democracy for the carnage.
'We condemn the attack on the rally,' said a State Department official. 'The attack shows that there are still those in Pakistan who are trying to undermine reconciliation and democratic development in Pakistan.'
