Three suspected Saudi militants to return home from Pakistan
Mar 16, 2008, 10:34 GMT
Riyadh - Saudi Ministry of Interior said Sunday three Saudi nationals, who were illegally living in restive areas in Pakistan, would return home.
Saudi and Pakistani authorities have cooperated to secure the return of three Saudis who were living in Pakistan's restive areas, the ministry said in a statement.
Two of the Saudis contacted the country's embassy in Pakistan and asked to return home to give themselves in.
The statement did not disclose the names of the three Saudis and whether they had links with the al-Qaeda terrorist network.
Saudi Arabia is the birthplace of al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden whose network has been behind a wave of terrorist attacks targeting foreign businesses in the oil-rich kingdom in recent years.
It is not clear whether the three Saudis are linked to al-Qaeda suspects, whose arrest has been announced three weeks ago.
