Romanian soldier killed in Afghanistan

Bucharest/Kabul - A Romanian soldier was killed Friday and three soldiers were injured while on patrol in Afghanistan.
The soldiers were travelling in four amphibious vehicles on the road between Kabul and Qualat when they were attacked by insurgents using light weapons and mortar shells, 50 kilometres from Qualat.
The death brings the toll among Romanian soldiers to five. Romania has 646 troops deployed in Afghanistan including 562 in the ISAF contingent and 84 are part of the US-led coalition troops.
