Dhaka - At least four people were drowned and 20 others went missing as a small motorboat carrying 50 passengers capsized in the Meghna River on Sunday, police said.
'Rescuers retrieved four bodies from the river while 20 others were still missing,' Krishna Pada Roy, the chief of Chandpur district police, told the German Press Agency dpa by telephone.
The boat sank near Ekhlaspur, some 75 kilometres south of Dhaka, Roy said, citing eyewitness accounts.
